Her father worked as a physical education teacher and her mother worked as an engineer at a university. She was the daughter of also her Stage & Musical School teacher during that time, secretly sent an audition disc with six songs to several recording studios so that they could test the reaction of their customers. Fischer's debut on stage was during a show on the 14th day of May 2005. The duet was performed by Florian Silbereisen. They eventually joined forces as a couple. She's received 17 Echo awards, 7 Goldene Henne Awards, 3 Bambis, and four Krone der Volksmusik. All of her albums have been rated multiple gold or double platinum. Songs that tell tales of daily worries and woes of home-loving folks have a lyrical resemblance to the genre of traditional country, yet musically distinctive.
